Hello everyone!
It's been such a long time since my last update...well, A LOT has been going on since my last blog post:
I had two graduations, one in my hometown Doha and the other in Richmond ~ I also had the chance to visit New York for awhile! it was short, but fun! Catching up with the family was also part of this summer vacation, it's nice to reconnect again!
Well, now that summer is over, it's time to get back on track and find a job...haha!

It's been EXACTLY a week since I came back to Doha. My last fieldstudy trip with VCUQ has been great.
I am sorry that I haven't updated daily as promised. My iPhone bill reached it limit and I had no access to the internet! I'm sorry if I didn't get the chance to reply to your email and text messeging! The next time I go to Japan, I'll make sure to extend my bill limit! :) but thank you for keeping in touch!
ANYWAYS, Here's a list of what I loved in Japan:
1-People being respectful, polite and unbelievably neat in every single thing they do everyday.
2-Subway, JR skyline, maps, information design, packaging...everything and anything design related.
3-Cosplay...YES people...I did cosplay in Japan!
4-Food...I have NOOO idea why some people hate Japanese food...it's yummy, healthy and light! oh and their sweets are just too YUMMY to explain.
5-Toilet...I could spend hours just setting on the toilet...the seat can be heated, it cleans you...it cleans itself...just perfect...I want one!
The list can go on forever really...Japan is PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT...I LOVE IT...I SAY START SAVING FROM NOW TO GO TO JAPAN...IT'S WORTH IT...I PROMISE!
anyways...I better go work on my thesis! :)
here's a photograph of my suitecase coming back from Japan. NO space at all, I had to sit on it to close it! Mostly gifts for family and friends...lots of chocolate and action figures...and ofcourse some stationary items for myself! :D

Me and my roomie FJ did NOT have a good night sleep so we decided to hang around the room and put on some make-up and manicure! ;P nothing feels better really! We then we went to family mart right in front of the hotel to waste more time on seeing thr iresistable japanese products (sooo pretty sooo perfect soo kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii) this is what I got. I think I am going back to Doha BROKE! :P
So we basically went to two shrinws, the Hosomi museum (didn't enjoy!) and the handicraft center wherebI finally got a yokata (light Kimono) then we completely lost our way and the negative energy wasnrising and most of us were pissed off! Iy was cold that we coildn't feel our feet or hands! :/
- Breakfast (sushi and egg rolls)
- And the horoscope of today is...
- Shrimp soba lunch! Oishi des.
-it's cold! A jacket, a knee high boots and a scarf is not enough!

FieldStudy2010_Kyoto/Night1
So we finally arrived to Japan! Our first stop was Osaka:
We were obviously so excited, but some were still in denial (like myself haha!) we had to take a JR train line all the way to Kyoto (an hour and a half ride)

The craziness started when we arrived! It was crazy raining and a little chili, we had to drag our suitecases up and down the stairs and eventually got lost in Kyoto's subway! No Taxi understood english or wanted to take us to oir hotel! As bad as it sounds, it was nothing, but a great experience, we finally (somehow :p) managed to find our way to the hotel! (phew!!!)

An impression: everything is so perfectly clean and organized! ALL Japanese are super stylish, wether young or old! It's quick and I love how everyone is walking on their own way without (telegefing) on other peoplr! They are perfect and I love perfect! Japan and the Japanese are soooo perfect that it's overwhilming for me to observe! Aghhhh!

FieldStudy10_DohaAirport
Okay! So my day started going to VCUQ, to hangout with my beloved friends before I leave to Japan! I came home a little late and had to continue packing quickly and now I am at the airport. I was the first to arrive the airport! Too mashta6a I guess! Ehehe! Here's a shot of our shoes next to gate 10!

FieldStudy2010_PackingtoJapan02
I'm 70% done packing!
I have decided to take as minimal clothes as I can! I am saving space for my Japanese goodies that I plan to get...I get a little TOO crazy!!!!!!
This is my suitcase packed with clothes (including underwear :P), boots and winter PJs that will keep me warm and cozy at night ^-^
I still need to pack some of my girly essentials ;) - just few that won't take lots of space.
ALRIGHT! I better go get some work done, I have too much to work on for tommorow T______T

My baby Nikon
About three weeks ago during Designer in Context class I dropped my camera on the floor while I was walking out of the class. There was a moment of silence and I was about to cry. I grabbed my camera off the floor and tested it, the cover is damaged, but the lenses worked el7amdella! I'm glad!
So yesterday I took my baby Nikon into surgery, it is now happily recovering! in fact, I took a bunch of photos today using my camera, I am glad it's back to normal again! :) I need it for my upcoming Japan Fieldstudy!
